We operate on a convenient drop-off/pick-up system:
  • Drop off your documents during business hours (or use our 24/7 dropbox)

Services & What We Handle

What types of returns do you prepare?
We prepare a wide variety of returns including:
  • Individual returns (Form 1040) with all schedules
  • Self-employed / freelancer returns (Schedule C)
  • Rental property income (Schedule E)
  • Investment income (stocks, dividends, crypto)
  • Michigan state returns
  • Homestead Property Tax Credit and Home Heating Credit
  • Small business returns (Schedule C, some partnerships)
  • Prior year returns (multiple years if needed)
Can you file prior year or late returns?
Yes! We can prepare returns for multiple prior years. If you've fallen behind, we can help you get caught up. Just let us know when scheduling so we can allocate enough time. Each tax year requires a separate appointment.
Do you handle IRS letters or audit support?
Yes. If you receive a letter from the IRS or Michigan Department of Treasury, bring it in and we'll help you understand what's needed and how to respond. For returns we prepared, we stand behind our work—if there's an error on our part, we'll handle it and pay any penalties incurred.
Can you amend a return?
Absolutely. If you received a corrected W-2, forgot to report income, or discovered a deduction you missed, we can file an amended return (Form 1040-X). Bring your original return and the new information.
Do you offer year-round tax planning?
Yes! Tax planning shouldn't just happen in April. We can help you:
  • Estimate quarterly payments for self-employment
  • Plan for major life changes (marriage, home purchase, retirement)
  • Review withholdings to avoid surprises
  • Strategize deductions and contributions
Contact us anytime to schedule a planning session.

Payment & Refunds

How much does tax preparation cost?
Pricing depends on the complexity of your return. A simple W-2 return will cost less than a return with self-employment, rental income, or multiple schedules. We're always happy to give you an estimate when you drop off your documents. We pride ourselves on fair, competitive pricing with no hidden fees.
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept:
  • Cash
  • Check
  • Credit/Debit cards
Payment is due when you pick up and sign your completed return.
How fast will I get my refund?
With e-file and direct deposit, most refunds arrive within 10-14 days (sometimes as fast as 8 days early in the season). Paper checks mailed by the IRS take 6-8 weeks. You can track your refund status at irs.gov/refunds.
What if I owe taxes?
If you owe federal or state taxes, we'll provide you with a payment voucher. You can pay by:
  • Check or money order mailed with the voucher
  • Online at irs.gov/payments
  • IRS Direct Pay (free bank transfer)
Payment is due by April 15 to avoid penalties and interest. If you can't pay in full, the IRS offers payment plans.

Security & Accuracy

Is my information secure?
Absolutely. We take data security seriously. Your tax information is encrypted when transmitted to the IRS and state, and we follow strict protocols for storing and handling sensitive documents. We're IRS-registered preparers bound by professional standards.
What's your accuracy guarantee?
We guarantee accuracy. If there's an error on any return we prepare that is our fault, we will pay any penalties incurred. We're members of NATP and NSTP and adhere to their Code of Ethics and Standards of Professional Conduct.
Are you registered with the IRS?
Yes. We are IRS-registered tax return preparers with valid PTINs (Preparer Tax Identification Numbers). We stay current on tax law changes through continuing education and professional memberships.
